Little dinosaur Diplodocus dreams of a real adventure above all else. But his overly caring parents value safety above all else, so they built a protective wall around their jungle home and strictly forbade him from going beyond it.

But one day everything changes: his parents disappear in a mysterious white fog, and Diplodocus sets off in search of them. On this great journey, he will be accompanied by a wizard and two eccentric scientists, and along the way, they will encounter fantastic creatures and amazing places.

December 1989. The Ceaușescu regime is living out its final days. The first mass protests against the dictatorship are already breaking out in Romania, which the authorities are brutally suppressing, but news reaches Bucharest in fragments. In this anxious time, the fates of six people are intertwined in tragicomic chaos. A factory worker panics over his son's letter to Santa Claus, in which he writes that his father wants Ceaușescu dead. An actress seeks to avoid participating in a New Year's show dedicated to the dictator, and a television producer tries to save the broadcast. His son, meanwhile, plans to flee the country – he is being followed by a secret service agent, who himself has to deal with a stubborn mother who refuses to move to a new apartment.

15-year-old Enrique spends the summer with his grandmother in a Slovak village. While his mother is away working, he rides motorbikes with friends and occasionally runs errands for her, hoping that they will soon be reunited. But rumours are already circulating in the village about her true intentions, and when Enrique discovers that she is hiding something from him, he is forced to choose: accept and support her or stay true to his values ​​and break off the relationship.
