Ahmet is a 15-year-old shepherd in a remote village in North Macedonia, where religion and tradition reign supreme. After his mother's death, his younger brother stops speaking, his authoritarian father becomes even stricter, and Ahmet is left to watch over his sheep every day. Only music saves him from such a routine. One day, he and his sheep accidentally end up at a night rave in the forest, which will divide his life into before and after.

A student essay competition is held at a university summer camp, pitting two professors with radically different approaches to learning and life against each other. The young idealist Jarosław tries to act honestly and supports the students, regardless of their views. His opponent is senior professor Jakub, a jaded cynic and master of manipulation. Tensions between them grow when the main criteria for evaluating the competition become political expediency rather than content and science. When the absurdity reaches its limit, even the students can no longer stay away.

Prague, 1967. Tomás is an older brother who takes care of his family and does everything to ensure that his younger brother remains safe and continues his studies. When Pavel joins the peaceful resistance to the regime, Tomás accidentally finds himself in the international department of the Czechoslovak Radio. He finds himself among journalists who challenge censorship and dictatorship. But their courageous work attracts the attention of the secret services, every word becomes jumbled, and Soviet tanks are about to enter the city to crush the hopes of the Prague Spring.
