When Hungary opened its borders in the 1990s, travel to France, Italy, or Spain finally became possible, but it was still out of reach for most citizens. This led three young Hungarians, who could not afford international travel, to forge tickets to get to the West. Thanks to their talent and ingenuity, their scheme quickly became an underground business, and a generation of Hungarians hungry for freedom got a chance to see the world beyond the Iron Curtain. But then the authorities and law enforcement caught wind of the scheme...

A few days before the full-scale invasion, the Kovalenkos went on vacation to the Canary Islands, not realising that they would never be able to return home. Russia would start a big war, all flights to Kyiv would be cancelled, and they would be stuck in a hotel in an existential trap, surrounded by happy families who were having fun as if nothing had happened. In Tenerife, the sun is still shining, the sea is blue, and palm trees are rustling in the wind, but all this no longer resembles paradise. War is penetrating here, although there are no explosions, and missiles are not falling on houses.

The world premiere of the film took place at the Toronto Film Festival.
