Les Misérables
dir. Ladj Ly, 2019, France, 102'
The bad reputation of Montfermeil has been around since the time of Victor Hugo's novel. Montfermeil has become the centre of the protest movement, and director Ladj Ly explains to us why teenagers are increasingly putting aside a football in favour of Molotov cocktails.
